Inspirational Poem
Both an inspirational poem and a work of photography art come forth from the heart of their Creator. Each work is a reflection of the person, and, in some way, of his or her life.
Words of comfort are often birthed through great pain. The beauty of nature can help the healing process. Taking my mind off myself and focusing on the creation draws my thoughts to the Creator of all things. Writing my inspirational thoughts as a poem or in a journal is, for me, a catharsis and preserves them forever God's Heart was written as I remembered the death of my son, and considered my own mortality.

GOD'S HEART
God’s heart is in new life
When buds burst forth in spring,
And hope grows yet eternal
And all our life seems green.
His tears refresh our summer
When life seems drawn and dry,
And there is none to share with,
Nor shade us when we cry.
God’s soul is in our autumn
When the winds begin to blow.
He knows how much we tremble
As the billows take their toll;
And in the depths of winter
When hope tends to despair,
He blankets us with comfort
As we cry to Him in prayer.
He’s with us in life’s seasons
Unwilling to let go.
He is there in times of joy,
Yet more as tear drops flow.
As we give our hearts to Him
He will heal our every pain,
And bless our souls with Sonshine
And turn our loss to gain.

CAMPING
At bedtime with all lights out
the majestic pines and stately oaks
stretch their long thin necks
toward the sky
whose serene gray face
peaks through a black lace
of leaves and needles
shadowing my canopied bed
with peace.

The Lord Is My Shepherd
Psalm 23, a 3000 year old poem written by King David of Israel is an inspirational poem that has touched hearts for centuries.
It begins The Lord is my Shepherd. I shall not want."
By clicking on the Joyful Expressions photo of sheep (on the left), you will arrive at DaySpring scenic slide show of the 23rd Psalm.
A slide show is really a wonderful way of combining photography art, soothing music and an inspirational poem.
