4th of July Pictures

May these 4th of July pictures not only give each of us pleasure as we celebrate, but also help us to remember the sacrifices that have been made to secure and maintain our independence.

Memorable 4th of July pictures can include great movies such as THE PATRIOT.





This July 4th picture was taken of an Independence Day float on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Our forefathers constructed much of the US Constitution on the principles of the Bible.

In God We Trust were not just words on a coin. Each of the signers of the Declaration of Independence put their lives and faith on the line when they signed. If the war had been lost they would have been executed for treason!



In every war American men and women have fought, and been wounded and died to preserve our freedom as "One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all".

As we enjoy fireworks and parades and take 4th of July pictures of family and friends, let's try to remember the reason we celebrate...and why we are able to celebrate.

Celebrating Independence at Calvary Chapel Worship Center

Calvary Chapel Worship Center in New Port Richey, Florida hosts an annual multi-media presentation of 4th of July pictures, dance, and music honoring our Armed Forces, Police and Fire Department and the United States of America.

The public is invited to attend on the Sunday closest to July 4th.The 2011 celebration is on Sunday, July 3rd at 8:10, 9:45 and 11:15 a.m.

Tom & I help with video for the large screens during the last service of the day, but Tom takes 'still' July 4th pictures during an earlier service. So as not to disturb the presentation he takes them in low light without a flash and usually from quite a distance. It is then my labor of love to try to recreate some of them as photo paintings in Photoshop.

The grand finale festoons the audience with red, white and blue streamers from the ceiling!

"If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from my wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land." 2Chronicles 7:14

My Independence Day occurred on October 12, 1957.
